Labor Day Weekend is just around the corner, and most of us are going to be glad to enjoy the time off. But other than taking up the normal hobbies, there’s a ton to do around San Francisco and San Jose, both labor day related and not. Here are some interesting events we found that are free and happening this weekend. Links are placed below each section with more details.
There is a labor rally being organized by SEIU in Fresno, Saturday morning. Tickets for breakfast are will be handed out at the press conference.
Numerous places across the bay are holding labor day specific parties. Dudley Perkins and Harley Davidson are teaming up to host new models during the Saturday afternoon. Expect Stunts and other entertainment.
For a +21 experience, Leige Spirits Lounge is hosting DJ Hector alongside Williams Stokes Sunday night. Free admission before 11pm with RSVP.
The 47th Millbrae Arts & Wine Festival kicks off 10am-5pm tomorrow and the day after. There’s easy access through public transit and a entertaining lineup of musicians.
Presidio Trust is showing a free production of Hamlet on the Civil War Parade Lawn, in Main Post. Their preview is at 2pm, tomorrow, Sep. 2. Shows are also at 2pm on the 3rd, 4th, 9th, 10th, 16th, and 17th.
Finally, for moms with young children, the Santa Clara City Library is hosting a “Mommy & Me Spa Day” for a manicure and crafts.
